Local organization COME OUT was established in 2010 and it received its official office space in the city as a part of the 2019 Novi Sad European Youth Capital project with an aim to organize the first ever big scale Pride Parade by 2020. It was organized on the International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia. The first pride was organized as the end event of the Pride Week in Novi Sad. Attended by around 200 people, 2019 pride was the first ever gay parade in Serbia to be held outside of Belgrade. Most gay pride parades and events also occur during a peak season of the year when the weather most ideal, yet another reason to book your trip during the event. The event, attended by city officials and members of diplomatic missions in Serbia, was organized for the first time in May 2019 at the central Republic Square. Visiting a destination during a pride event is a great way to not only see the city, its landmarks and learn its history, but also to immerse yourself in the local LGBTQ+ community. 4 The first pride march was organized on June 29, 2019, which declared second. 3 The first parade drew around four hundred people on the busy streets of Maitighar Mandala. While many other LGBT marches existed around the year, this has become the first pride march celebrated on pride month. Novi Sad Pride ( Serbian Cyrillic: Новосадска парада поноса, Hungarian: Újvidéki büszkeség felvonulás,) is annual pride parade held in Novi Sad, second largest city in Serbia and administrative center of Vojvodina organized to celebrate the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people and their allies. This Pride March is the first pride march in Nepal.
